ZAGAT 2009/2010
"For inexpensive Italian-accented pub fare, Stamford families head to this neighborhood bar, with a dining room decorated like a backyard and filled with "lots of booths", for "thin crust pizzas", pasta and a delicious Rice Krispy treat dessert.

METROMIX  2009
The restaurant has two rooms, a bar that caters to the beer-guzzling, sports-watching pizza eater and one of the most fun indoor dining areas to sit back and enjoy the appetizing Italian dishes. A dimly lit, cozy place, Vinny's has a laid-back atmosphere that makes you feel about as guilty to have loud children in attendance as you would at Chuck E. Cheese. The dining area resembles a backyard patio complete with string lights, gazebo and windows with potted plants to make it seem as if you're looking inside a house.

URBAN SPOON  2/09
Vinny's is an excellent bar and grill with a bold, local flair and and an unparalleled dining room experience (also, they happen to serve pizza).   Voted most fun bar/restaurant 2009

I had a good time here. Some good brew, excellent wings, and although I haven't had, I heard the pizza is great. The place is split into two sides, a sports bar and a family dining room.

Vinny's Backyard Bar & Grill in Springdale (on Hope st. across from the Twin Rinks) has the best buffalo wings around. The wings are so good and their ribs are so tasty. The price is fair and I do takeout often. It took me 5+ years in CT to satisfy my wing craving from NYC.

THE STAMFORD TIMES 3/06
Vinny's is just what Stamford ordered: a quick bit to eat and a few beers, set in an atmosphere the whole family can enjoy.

As a restaurant, Vinny's serves up some of the best thin crust pizza in Stamford.  I recommend the hot oil as a topping. They also have decent wings, especially the General Tso and Chipotle flavors.

The bar is the place to sit.  The interesting mixture of patrons makes for great people-watching and the TVs plastered all over the walls makes for great sports-watching.  The drink prices aren't bad and the food is definitely better than most bar food! Go on Wednesdays for $0.20 wings or try the Salad Pizza (a favorite for most of my friends!) For dessert, I suggest the Rice Krispie pie. Enjoy!!

Overall a solid place for a drink, pizza, other pub fare, and a good (usually younger) crowd.  The wings are mind blowing.
